The Center for Rehabilitation Medicine at the Regional Hospital has received four new exercise machines.
These machines are designed to restore muscle tone and strength. First and foremost, they help military personnel recover from injuries," says physical therapist Roman Litvinov.
Roman Litvinov, physical therapist:
-Physical rehabilitation is aimed at developing physical qualities. We have received training equipment from Germany that will help us develop such physical qualities as strength and endurance. You can see the first simulator, it is designed to develop the triceps brachii, back and chest muscles.
It is a universal trainer and helps to recover from serious injuries," says Roman Lytvynov.
Roman Lytvynov, physiotherapist:
-We also received a block trainer, which is a universal machine designed to work the muscles of the upper shoulder girdle, upper and lower extremities, and back muscles. This means that almost all muscles can be worked on this machine.
The new simulators are designed for different muscle groups of patients," says Olena Khakhuza, a physiotherapist's assistant.
Olena Khakhuza, Physical Therapy Assistant:
-Right now we see a block trainer where a girl is exercising. The goal is to strengthen the oblique and rectus abdominis muscles. When there are disorders and the patient cannot hold his back, it strengthens the back muscles and makes them stronger. This is also a simulator for strengthening the lower extremities. The simulators are all block-based and aimed at strengthening the muscles.
Soldier Serhiy is undergoing rehabilitation in a regional hospital after being wounded. He says that the exercise equipment helped him a lot, as he began to feel strength in his muscles again in a short time.
Serhiy, a soldier:
-In two days I can already feel an improvement in my coordination. I hope that the dynamics will be better every day, so in two days I can see the results thanks to the good specialists who work here, so there is a comprehensive program - not only the simulators, but also some exercises.
The new exercise machines are the result of cooperation within the framework of the German-Ukrainian project "Partnership between Hospitals - Partners Strengthen Health".
