Thank you to my colleagues for helping me to recover!

We continue to get acquainted with the work of the rehabilitation team of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.V. Sklifosovsky.

Iryna Ptselintseva, a physician of physical and rehabilitation medicine, has already told us about the work of the department, and today she will introduce us to her patients. Physiotherapist Roman Lytvynov and physiotherapist's assistant Olena Khakhuza help patients to train in the gym.

A patient works on the exercise equipment.

 - Good morning! Tell us how you came to this department and how is your treatment going?

- Good morning! My name is Tamila, I am a military doctor. In July I suffered a shoulder injury, a torn rotator cuff. At the end of September I underwent orthoscopic surgery of the left shoulder joint. I wore a Dezo bandage for a month and a half, and a month and a half after the surgery they started to develop. But unfortunately we did not continue because I had another major surgery and we just recently started the rehabilitation of the shoulder joint.

The Center has just received important block trainers. And I am very grateful, because my arm was very weak after the surgery and the Dezo bandage. It was 80 percent weaker than the right one. With such initial data, we started developing the joint. Today, thanks to the block trainers, the arm has recovered by almost 80 percent, mobility has increased in the joint, and strength has increased significantly.

The block trainers work well and are essential for the rehabilitation of both civilians and military personnel recovering from injuries or surgeries.

I thank my colleagues for my recovery!

 -          Thank you for your work, as you also help to save our defenders. We wish you a quick recovery!
