I like to see the results of the work that I do.

Today we meet Vita Vyshniak, an occupational therapist assistant at the Center of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.V. Sklifosovsky:

- Hello, Vita. Tell us, how did you choose this job profile and how satisfied are you with the results?

- Vita: Good morning. I have been working in this hospital for 13 years.

The most important factor that motivated me to do this job is the desire to help people. I like to see the results of my work.

I and the whole rehabilitation team help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, wounds or illnesses so that they can leave the hospital sooner. My main job is to help patients adapt to their environment, learn how to take care of themselves, and learn to do household chores as independently as possible.

Patients also like physical therapy, and in the complex treatment of the rehabilitation team, in addition to basic exercises, we perform it as an additional method to relieve muscle tension, spasms, or vice versa for stimulation.

50 percent of the treatment depends on our attitude, attitude to the patient, mutual understanding and the patient's desire to recover.

Patients respond to treatment differently. Each case is a separate life, a separate loss of certain opportunities that change all plans and prospects. If the patient realizes the need for rehabilitation and follows our recommendations, the treatment goes better. And we share with the patient every case of improvement. Many leave the hospital as fully recovered as possible - they return to their lives, some recover partially, but we see the desire to continue training and adapting to life, and we are confident that the person will continue their recovery at home.

My work, like all teamwork, helps the patient, because all employees of the Center together are a single mechanism that restores the lost health of Ukrainians to the maximum extent possible.

- We are grateful to the team of the center for their daily and necessary work. We wish them inspiration and new successes.

We wish the patients a quick recovery!

We thank our friends from Germany for the medical equipment that helps to restore health of Ukrainians.
