The Rehabilitation Medicine Center of the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.V. Sklifosovsky provides medical care for patients with diseases, post-surgery, injuries or wounds.
The multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive care for patients.
After Iryna Pchelintseva, a physician of physical and rehabilitation medicine and head of the center, examined the patient, prepared an individual treatment plan and agreed on the objectives, the patient Iryna was placed under the supervision of physiotherapist Roman Litvinov.
- Good morning. Tell us how you came to the hospital, what problems you had and how do you feel about the result of the team's work?
- Good morning! My name is Irina! I am in rehabilitation for the tenth day. I came with a problem of pain in the cervical spine, more on the right side, it was difficult to raise my right arm, I had pain under the shoulder blade, back pain and hip pain.
From the beginning of the sessions, somewhere between the third and fourth session, I felt better, the pain began to decrease, my muscle tone became better - I noticed it, it became better and easier to raise my arm, it became possible and easier for me to lie on my right side, my gait also became a little better, my limp gradually disappeared.
I am satisfied with this center and the work on this device. I am very grateful to the staff.
- Mr. Roman, at what stage is the patient now, what result do you see from the medical point of view?
- Mrs. Iryna is working hard on her recovery, she is actively engaged in exercises.
In fact, with dosed physical activity, blood flow to the muscles improves, inflammation and spasms decrease. The patient's lameness has decreased, and she notices an increase in joint mobility and pain relief. We see a positive dynamic and are confident that the patient will continue to recover at home after discharge.
