The patient has a strong desire to recover

We continue to meet with the team of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.V. Sklifosovsky.

Ilya Volodchenko, an assistant physiotherapist, helps the patient with exercises.

- Hello, please tell us about your recovery in this center.

Hello, my name is Igor. This is my second visit to the center. Four months ago, I was completely paralyzed against the background of complete well-being. I was sitting at a table and suddenly I felt weak and my arms and legs gave out. They suspected a stroke. I was taken to intensive care, then to neurology, then to this department. I was brought here in a wheelchair. The cause was intervertebral hernias, neuroinfection and Guillain-Barré syndrome. Since I was almost completely immobile, during the first course of rehabilitation I had significant improvements, almost regained movement in my arms. It's been five days since I started using a walker at home, and this is my second day of training at the center. I am grateful to the good, responsive staff of the center, they are the best - everyone works very well.

Ilya Volodchenko: The patient has a great desire to recover and start walking on his own. This is the most important thing to speed up recovery. And our team at the center has been helping all patients to recover as much as possible for two years now.

- I would like to thank the staff of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center for their work, for their excellent attitude to patients, for restoring their health. I wish you new successes and achievements!

I wish all patients of the center a quick recovery!
