The project "Hospital Partnerships - Partners Strengthening Health" in Poltava has officially come to an end.
It’s been over a year of exciting communication with our friends from Germany! Over a year of gathering data on needs, analyzing the required equipment, placing orders, preparing and delivering lectures, and implementing the main objectives set by the project leaders to quickly and fully equip the Rehabilitation Medicine Center at the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital.
A huge thank you to our friends for this invaluable experience and for helping Ukraine.
We did it, we made it happen! Humanitarian aid arrived in Poltava four times for the Poltava Regional Hospital. To enhance the quality for patients at the Rehabilitation Medicine Center, new beds, wardrobes, and bedside tables were organized in the wards. In the rehabilitation training rooms, we installed 22 rehabilitation machines, medical devices, and a wide array of other equipment. During the project, 1,401 patients received treatment at the Rehab Center.
We also created a project website, along with Facebook and Instagram pages, where we showcased every stage of the project, introduced the rehabilitation team, and shared conversations with patients about their treatment progress.
Seven planned online training sessions were held, involving 12 rehabilitation teams from various medical institutions across the Poltava region. The lecture recordings are available on the project website: https://rehab.pl.ua.
The equipment at the Center and the lectures are being used to train medical interns and specialists who are taking advanced qualification courses at the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at Poltava State Medical University.
This project is a remarkable example of the friendship and cooperation that is possible between healthcare institutions in Ukraine and hospitals in other countries.
We look forward to continued collaboration and friendship.
The team at the Rehabilitation Medicine Center at Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital, along with its patients, sincerely thanks Altmühlseeklinik Hensoltshöhe (Germany) for the opportunity to work with modern equipment and help restore the health of Ukrainians.
Until we meet again!
