KNP SOR "Sumy Regional Clinical Hospital". The department of physical and rehabilitation medicine has 30 beds. The department is located in a new building, has enough space for wards and offices, halls, occupies several floors. There is an elevator between the floors. The wards are bright, spacious, functional beds and furniture make it possible for patients to feel comfortable. Showers and toilets with all amenities for people with partial functional limitations.
Wide doors in all rooms, wide corridors are equipped with all facilities for wheelchairs.
The department has a long history. Starting to work in 1954 as a physiotherapy department, over the years the department has developed various directions: electrotherapy, light therapy, inhalation, hydrotherapy, paraffin-ozone therapy, massage and exercise therapy. In recent years, the department has successfully implemented modern physical methods of treatment and rehabilitation. A multidisciplinary team of specialists consisting of rehabilitators, physical therapists, occupational therapists, their assistants, speech therapists, psychologists and other specialists provides complex assistance for diseases of the nervous system, orthopedic and traumatological diseases, after surgical interventions and other areas, giving people the opportunity to quickly recover and adapt. with disabilities.
Offices for speech and language therapy, for providing psychological assistance, occupational therapy offices, and an office for hanging therapy are open.
The department responds in a timely manner to the needs of the time. And will continue to develop and improve the rehabilitation direction.
