We continue to meet with the team of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.V. Sklifosovsky.
Nadezhda Zhytchenko, an assistant physiotherapist, works with the patient and helps to do exercises.
We ask the patient how the recovery and rehabilitation process is going.
- Good afternoon. My name is Pavlo Olehovych, I'm almost 61 years old.
On March 15, I had a hemorrhagic stroke. As a result, the left side of my body was completely paralyzed and I was completely immobile for a month and a half. Then I was referred to the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine of the Regional Hospital, where my treatment began.
Currently, 4 months and several sessions of treatment have passed. As a result, I can walk alone with a stick, which is a very important result for me. Nadezhda Zhytchenko, a physiotherapist's assistant, continues to work with me. We are now working hard to restore the function of the arm, for which I am very grateful to the medical team - the arm has begun to function almost fully, to bend and straighten. Considering that I was admitted to the hospital completely lying down, the results of the treatment are very remarkable. I feel the joy of movement and life.
I am grateful to the hospital staff for my recovery. We will continue our work.
- I thank the staff of the Center of rehabilitation medicine for their fruitful work, for the restored health of Ukrainians and wish them new successes and achievements! And I wish all patients of the center a speedy recovery!
