We are initiating a collaborative project between German and Ukrainian hospitals called 'Partnership between Hospitals - Partners Strengthening Health'. The project is in cooperation with Altmühlseeklinik Hensoltshöhe (Germany) and the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital named after M. V. Sklifosovskyi (Ukraine) and is designed to support and promote the restoration of the Ukrainian health care system.
The project aims to assist in the development of the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine at the hospital to provide rehabilitation services to those in need in the Poltava region.
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (German Agency for International Cooperation) is responsible for implementing the project, which is commissioned and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). One area of cooperation involves a series of lectures on rehabilitation presented by German colleagues.
The lectures aim to provide interesting insights to medical workers in Ukrainian hospitals. The first lecture, 'Rehabilitation Concepts,' will be presented by Dr. Friedbert Herm, a chief physician specializing in orthopedics and physical and rehabilitation medicine. Nataliya Merkel, a senior physician in the geriatric rehabilitation department, will assist us with the translation.
